“… Nothing is worth your health. Nothing is worth poisoning yourself into stress, anxiety, and fear.”
Steve Maraboli, speaker, bestselling author and Behavioural Science academic.
As Christmas approaches, we can feel busy or even stressed for different reasons. There may be more work at the end of the year, invitations to Christmas parties, writing Christmas cards, going shopping for the last gifts, or even feeling lonely because people are rushing around and it’s not comfortable to hear all about preparations. How to get out of this spiral of pressure?
You’ll be led through a simple yet effective process (self-empathy) to connect with your feelings and needs. You will learn more about yourself and find out how to take care of yourself, even though it’s a stressful time.
- Increased clarity and self-connection.
- Developing awareness of your feelings and needs.
- Getting a deeper understanding of yourself and others by observing and supporting other participants.
- Becoming more consciousness of what it means to be authentic.
- Developing the resilience to deal with conflict and live from your heart.
Three Monday evenings, 7.00 – 9.00pm on the 3, 10, and 17 December.
3 December, The five steps of self-empathy/fill-in sheet.
10 December, Self-empathy and finding strategies.
17 December, Inner conflict.
Structure of each evening
We’ll start with a check-in round and a mindful arriving exercise to tune into our topic. Gesine will introduce the self-empathy process, then offer a guided reflection in which participants will work with their own examples from daily life. Afterwards there will be a chance to review your learning and ask questions. If there is time left over, Gesine is also offering to coach people. Each session will end with Gesine describing a voluntary task that you can do during the week to deepen your learning, and a closing round.
