Year Training: the Five Module syllabus

The syllabus for the Year Taining is described below in topics per module: you can also see how this is worked into a daily programme. In between modules, we support and maintain our connection with Community Calls. Elsewhere, find out about fees,  the training venue, or fill in the application form.

Topics by module, 2018-19

All NVC Year Training modules start with a meal at 6.30pm on the Thursday and finish at 4.00pm on the Sunday.
Module One: Knowing NVC
11-14 October 2018.

Module Two: Living NVC

Module Three: Healing past pain
7-10 March 2019.

  • Healing anger, guilt, shame and depression.

Module Four: Transforming Conflict
9-12 May 2019.

Module Five: Sharing NVC
4-7 July 2019.

  • Developing NVC facilitation skills.

Daily Programme

Year Training participants
  • 7.30–8.30 Breakfast
  • 9.00 Remembering our collective intention and planning the day.
  • 9.30 Morning session, including tea break at approximately 11.15.
  • 13.00 Lunch and free time.
  • 15.00–16.00 Empathy Home Groups.
  • 16.15 Afternoon session, including tea break at approximately 17.15pm.
  • 18.30 Evening meal.
  • 19.30 Harvesting the day’s learning.
  • 20.15 Optional space for fun and games, including singing and dancing!

Community Calls

We offer a Community Call in between each module to support learning, integration, and connection. Participants will be invited to form Empathy Home Groups meeting daily during the modules. You will be encouraged to meet (face-to-face or by Skype) between the modules to foster community and for ongoing support.
