Online: NVC Springfest Gathering

What is the purpose of this online gathering?

  • To bring the Summerfest community together
  • To foster connection and depth
  • To welcome newcomers

Sadly, due to Coronavirus restrictions, we won’t be gathering in person for the Springfest. However it’s important to us to keep the connection with past Summerfesters and build connections with people who are interested to come to the Summerfest in the future. We are meeting online, using a conference platform Zoom. Of course it’s not the same as meeting in person and at the same time it’s a way to stay safe and healthy during the Coronavirus pandemic. Feel free to invite friends and family to join – all sessions will take place on Zoom.

When and where

When: Saturday 25 April, 2020.

Where: This is an online gathering. We will invite you to online calls in the morning and afternoon, using a platform called Zoom — instructions to follow. Zoom allows us to break out into ‘rooms’ for smaller group work.

Shantigarbha, Gesine Schrader and Rik Midgley, certified trainers with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication. Find out more about us.

Programme for the day

  • 10.30am – 12.30pm: Connecting activity, remembering our intention, check-in, learning groups (maximum six people – see below for questions), check-out.
  • 12.30pm – 2.30pm: Lunch Break
  • 2.30pm – 4.30pm: NVC workshop breakout sessions with Shantigarbha, Gesine and Rik (topics to be announced).

Questions for the learning groups in the morning

  1. What kind of support do you need from NVC?
  2. What do you still want to learn?
  3. How to make this learning financially sustainable all round?

Who is this for?

  • People who have attended the Summerfest.
  • Newcomers who would like a taste of the Summerfest community and to ask questions.

To promote sustainability we are asking for a fee on the basis of Gift Culture. We encourage your sense of choice and responsibility in deciding how much to contribute. We invite you to contribute what you consider the value you have received through your participation as well as what is economically viable for you. When you register (see below), we will ask you for a deposit of £10 per person to anchor the event.

Are you ready to book?  Use our online booking form (takes up to 10 seconds to load). For further information please email Gesine or phone her on 07840 056 289.

In anticipation, the Springfest team: Gesine, Shelley, Tricia, and Shantigarbha
