Online Introduction to Nonviolent Communication (NVC)

Communication is key, at home, work, and in the community: come and find out how NVC might support you to have the relationships you want.

  • Get an overview of the NVC process with the Tree of Compassionate Connection.
  • Explore what challenges you face that could be supported by the Nonviolent Communication process.
  • A chance to ask questions about the six-week, online Level One course starting the following week (Monday, 11 May).

When and where

One evening, Monday, 4 May 2020, 7:00 — 8:30pm.

This is an online taster session. We will invite you an online call using a platform called Zoom — instructions to follow. Zoom allows us to break out into ‘rooms’ for smaller group work.

Preparation

NB. Preparation is not required to participate. Consider reading Marshall Rosenberg’s book, Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, or watch one of the videos on our training preparation page. In addition, you could read Shantigarbha’s book on empathy I’ll Meet You There: A Practical Guide to Empathy, Mindfulness and Communication or sample our series of NVC Life Hacks on YouTube.
